Originally announced on August 25, the combination of the two companies will create an end-to-end, multi-vendor aftermarket services platform that connects the endpoints of networks for OEMs and network operators around the world.
Both companies are looking forward to expanding their presence in the telecommunications industry by providing turnkey network maintenance solutions for the entire communications network for consumer products such as cell phones and set top boxes, enterprise products including laptops, VoIP and wireless phones, and wireless and wireline infrastructures.

Telecom Equipment Repair Reduces Network Operating Costs November 2, 2011

Dealing with failing tower mounted amplifiers (TMAs) in your wireless network? Instead of replacing your TMAs and restarting the ROI clock, reduce your network operating cost with Telmar’s telecom equipment repair solution.
TMAs ensure strong uplink communication, increase site capacity and improve return on investment on cell site deployments. The payback time on TMAs is usually between two and 12 months, but when its out of warranty and fails, it’s often replaced with a new unit starting the ROI clock all over again.
With Telmar’s telecom repair solution, you can easily redeploy your TMA for years of reliable service at a mere fraction of the cost. Not to mention, all of Telmar’s telecom repairs have a turnaround time of 15 days or less and come with a one-year warranty.
So the next time you find yourself with a failing Ericsson, RFS, Andrew or Powerwave TMA, turn to Telmar for a fast solution that won’t restart your ROI clock.

On October 17, Telmar’s Latin American subsidiary, TEL-NT, announced its strategic agreement with Telefônica Brazil. TEL-NT will provide multi-vendor repair and spare parts management services for Telefônica’s wireline and optical networks in São Paulo state, Brazil.
TEL-NT’s president and CEO, Steven Pickett expressed his excitement about the new agreement saying: “we’re honored that Telefônica has chosen TEL-NT to manage its repair and logistics for their Brazilian market.” He also pointed out that TEL-NT’s cost-effective services and delivery efficiencies will ensure that Telefônica’s customers experience the same high-quality services they depend on.
We are all excited about this new commitment not only because it’s a new challenge but also because we will be working with Telefônica Brazil, being the largest Telefônica operation in terms of customer numbers (80 million) and direct employees (more than 100,000) in the world. With the R$ 24,3 billion in investments, the resources in Brazil will achieve R$ 177 billion in revenues by 2014, while keeping Telefônica among the largest private investors in the country over almost two decades.
TEL-NT will ensure that Telefônica’s service continuity is not disrupted by providing boards from storage for quick deployment in case defective boards are sent in for repair. In order to service all of São Paolo state, TEL-NT has expanded its storage capacity by opening nine spare depots to manage quick access to and rapid deployment of 130,000 spare parts to Telefônica’s networks.
Tango Networks Announes Abrazo Release 5x September 22, 2011
Posted by admin in : Enterprise, mobile UC , add a commentEarlier this month, Tango Networks announced the availability of the Abrazo mobile Unified Communications (mobile UC) release 5.x which adds flexibility for both deployments and policy management.
As the trend of telecommuting continues to grow, VPNs are becoming less attractive to companies and they are looking for cost-effective and feature-rich voice conferencing on a constant basis. The Abrazo mobile UC platform provides a solution that gives mobile users the same PBX and UC functionalities they have on their PCs and desk phones. The new release of the Abrazo adds even more capabilities including:
- SIP Trunking Controller Application – provides SIP Trunk interworking between enterprise PBXs (e.g. from PBX Vendor A to PBX Vendor B) as well as between one or more enterprise PBXs and public SIP Trunk service providers.
- Multi-homed Network Interfaces – allows the Abrazo-E to concurrently support LAN and WAN homed applications.
- Cisco Platform Deployment – the Abrazo-E can be deployed on select Application Extension Platform (AXP) modules within the Cisco Integrated Services Router (ISR).
- Policy Enhancements – Includes increased flexibility in inbound and outbound screening and customized user specific allow/disallow lists.
There’s no denying that mobile UC is the future of the telecommunications world, and as a Tango partner, Telmar is thrilled to add the 5.x to its portfolio of mobileUC products.

How can you extend the life of your fixed or wireless network while saving money, ensuring network reliability and retaining quality of network services at the same time? It’s simple. Choose Telmar as your partner for warranty repair on communications equipment.
In a tough economy, it’s important for carriers to find a way to preserve and extend the life of their network. With Telmar as your multi-vendor, warranty repair telecom equipment partner, you can extend the life of your communications network and achieve significant OPEX and CAPEX savings at the same time.
Our multi-vendor, fixed and wireless equipment repair solutions help shorten the turnaround time because we understand how critical it is to keep your network operating and servicing your customers. While an OEM will normally turn around standard repairs in 45 days, Telmar’s standard repair solution is completed within 15 days or less.
Time is money. So why not save both and extend your network at the same time?
