Once again, Telmar Network Technology’s North American facilities – Plano, Texas; Irvine, California; Council Bluffs, Iowa; Tampa, Florida; and Toronto, Ontario, Canada – have been re-certified to TL 9000. Originally created in 1998 by the QuEST Forum, the TL 9000 quality management system is designed specifically for the communications industry and specifies measurements for companies to help evaluate the effectiveness of quality implementation.
With facilities located in 11 nations, Telmar is continuously utilizing our quality process to improve our effectiveness and ensure the quality of our products and services are unmatched by our competitors. The recent TL 9000 certification of our facilities in India and Malaysia only further validates our commitment to quality.
Becoming TL 9000 certified is by no means a simple process regardless of what you may have heard. As a matter of fact, Telmar’s recent rectification marks the start of our fourth certification cycle (which began in 2001). Telmar is the only provider certified in the TL 9000 procurement and repair services product categories as well as one of the few certified providers of pre-owned solutions. How about that for a commitment to quality?
In addition to being built on ISO 9001:2008 and its eight quality principles, the TL 9000 standard includes an additional 92 telecom specific requirements and measurements focused on design, development, production, delivery, installation, and maintenance of telecom products and services.
