On October 25, anyone who is anyone in the telecommunications and IT sector in Latin America will be in São Paulo, Brazil, attending what may be the event of the year – Futurecom 2010. Known as the largest and most prestigious exhibition in Latin America, Futurecom will welcome approximately 15,000 people from more than 40 countries this year at the Transamerica Expo Center including TEL-NT, a subsidiary of Telmar Network Technology.
In addition to exhibiting at the event (Booth C19), TEL-NT’s esteemed country manager, Luiz Claudio Santos Rosa, will deliver a compelling presentation about The Importance of a Strong Repair Industry in Brazil from 10:50 – 11:20 a.m. (BRT) on October 26 in the Columbia Conference Room.
Luiz’ presentation will focus on the ABINEE’s recent announcement of Brazil’s trade deficit reaching $12 billion within the next six months – a 70 percent increase from the same period in 2009. Because Brazil does not currently produce components, it’s imperative to find ways of increasing local capacity in all senses including complex repairs of parts belonging to Telecom and IT systems. Luiz will address how the telecom industry can overcome this challenge and help the country reduce the deficit and generate currency reserves and important specialization jobs in Brazil.
